Is the BARF diet healthier for dogs?

There is no scientific evidence that raw food has a generally positive effect in dogs.

Anyone who opts for raw feeding should be aware that it is a demanding task to provide exactly the same nutrients that occur in a complete prey animal by combining the right quantities of individual components. Yet this is the only way to ensure that your four-legged friend receives the optimal supply of nutrients.

If you want to assemble meals for your pet in the long-term, you will need to have the ration calculated by a specialist. There is also an increased hygiene risk when feeding raw meat as any bacteria or pathogens will not be killed.
